Last week was the opening of the “voices” exhibition at Space for art, in Sant Pere de Ribes. It was the first time that I have shown my book created expressly for the publication “The world between two covers”, which was published on May 9. (Now available on Amazon!, it is not an affiliate link).

I really wanted to write a little about these two projects because they are both created and led by women. Women artists, mother artists, women artist mothers. Strong women, with courage, women who want to create the life they want through creativity. And generous and empathetic women. Thank you very much for inviting me to be part of your vision.

I'm going to go in parts.

First I talk about the publication, “The world between two covers,” by Christine Ebner and Michelle Schratz. This project started as an idea last summer. An idea that was not very well known how it was going to materialize, but 43 artists trusted it with blindfolds.

And the truth is that it has been a complete success! Since it was published on May 9 on Amazon, it has been number 1 on Amazon's #bestseller list in the Women in Art category!!! Wow! I am very proud to be part of this project created by two women artists. They, with all their strength, determination, determination and courage, have carried out this book in the time they proposed, without ever having done anything similar before. The entire process they have had to do of learning, searching, mistakes and achievements... only they, and someone else, know. From my small space I want to congratulate you again for being brave and dreamers at the same time.

Second, I will tell you a little about the “Voices” exhibition. My friend Beatriz Chamussy invited me to be part of the annual exhibition in her creative space, Space for art, with a joint project on AI and the sensory (expect a post just about this soon, which is very interesting to tell in 3 lines). At the same time she invited me to also exhibit one of her own pieces. I immediately saw which piece fit perfectly with the proposed theme. My artist's book, in which I worked on the inner voice, how we speak to each other, who spoke to us when we were little, how that voice still affects us today.

In the vast landscape of the human mind, inner voices resonate like a constant echo, shaping our perceptions and guiding our path through the labyrinth of life. On each page a unique universe unfolds, full of collage, image transfers, brushstrokes and stitches, which give voice to the rich and complex narrative to my inner voices.

This book is more than a simple visual compendium; It is an intimate reflection of my internal conversations, it is a reflection of how we talk to ourselves in moments of doubt, fear, reflection and self-discovery. The palpable textures of its pages, marked by the subtle imperfections of the collage and the lines of the stitches, invite the reader to immerse themselves in the tactile and sensory experience of the work.

Just like in the book, where each page reveals a part of what has come before, our thoughts are never isolated like mushrooms in the forest, but are intertwined in a complex web of ideas, memories and emotions.

Each page invites us to explore the dark and light corners of our inner world, reminding us that our past experiences and our inner voices are intrinsically intertwined. 

On this journey of self-discovery, we come face to face with the voices that lead the way or block us, and we are faced with the task of discerning which to follow and which to leave behind on our journey toward authenticity and personal growth.__

La semana pasada fue la inauguración de la exposición “voces” en Space for art, en Sant Pere de Ribes. Fue la primera vez que he mostrado mi libro creado expresamente para la publicación “The world between two covers”, que se publicó el 9 de mayo. (Ya disponible en Amazon! , no es link afiliado).

Tenía muchas ganas de escribir un poco sobre estos dos proyectos porque los dos estan creados y liderados por mujeres. Mujeres artistas, madres artistas, mujeres artistas madres. Mujeres fuertes, con coraje, mujeres con ganas de crear la vida que desean a través de la creatividad. Y mujeres generosas y empaticas. Muchas gracias por invitarme a formar parte de vuestra visión.

Voy a ir por partes.

Primero hablo de la publicación, “The world between two covers”, por Christine Ebner y Michelle Schratz. Este proyecto empezó como una idea el verano pasado. Una idea que no se sabía muy bien como se iba a materializar, pero que 43 artistas confíamos en ella con los ojos bendados.

Y la verdad que ha sido todo un éxito! Desde que se publicó el 9 de mayo en Amazon, ha sido número 1 en la lista de #bestseller de amazon en la categoria de Mujeres en el arte!!! Guau! Estoy muy orgullosa de formar parte de este proyecto creado por dos mujeres artistas. Ellas con toda su fuerza, empeño, decisión y valentía han llevado a cabo en el tiempo que se propusieron este libro, sin nunca antes haber hecho nada similar. Todo el proceso que han tenido que hacer de aprendizaje, de búsqueda, de errores y logros.. solo lo saben ellas, y alguien más. Desde mi pequeño espacio quiero felicitarlas otra vez por ser valientes y soñadoras al mismo tiempo.

Segundo te cuento un poco sobre la exposición “Voces”. Mi amiga Beatriz Chamussy, me invitó a formar parte de la exposición anual en su espacio creativo , Space for art, con un proyecto conjunto sobre la IA y lo sensorial (esperate pronto un post sólo sobre esto, que es muy interesante para contarlo en 3 líneas). Al mismo tiempo me invitó exponer también una pieza propia. En seguida vi claro qué pieza encajaba perfecto con el tema propuesto. Mi libro de artista, en el que trabajé la voz interna, el cómo nos hablamos, quién nos habló de pequeñas, cómo nos afecta esa voz todavía en la actualidad.

En el vasto paisaje de la mente humana, las voces internas resuenan como un eco constante, moldeando nuestras percepciones y guiando nuestro camino a través del laberinto de la vida. En cada pàgina se despliega un universo único, lleno de collage, transferencias de imágenes, pinceladas y puntadas, que dan voz a la rica y compleja narrativa a mis voces internas.

Este libro es más que un simple compendio visual; es un reflejo íntimo de mis conversaciones internas, es una reflexión de cómo nos hablamos a nosotros mismos en los momentos de, duda, miedo, reflexión y autodescubrimiento. Las texturas palpables de sus páginas, marcadas por las sutiles imperfecciones del collage y los trazos de las puntadas, invitan al lector a sumergirse en la experiencia táctil y sensorial de la obra.

Al igual que en el libro, donde cada página revela una parte de lo que ha venido antes, nuestros pensamientos nunca están aislados como setas en el bosque, sino que están entrelazados en una red compleja de ideas, recuerdos y emociones.

Cada página invita a explorar los rincones oscuros y luminosos de nuestro mundo interno, recordándonos que nuestras experiencias pasadas y nuestras voces internas están intrínsecamente entrelazadas. 

En este viaje de autodescubrimiento, nos encontramos cara a cara con las voces que nos marcan el camino o nos bloquean, y nos enfrentamos a la tarea de discernir cuál seguir y cuál dejar atrás en nuestro viaje hacia la autenticidad y el crecimiento personal.
