My studio right now is a chaos and my mind too! · ¡Mi estudio es un caos ahora mismo y mi cabeza también!

And why is it chaos? Well, because I am preparing a solo exhibition for next February at the Espai d'Arts de Llinars, Barcelona. And the truth is that setting up an exhibition is not easy at all. And even more if you do it totally alone. It is not only shaping the expository narrative, it is devising the ideal composition to be able to explain it.

And the reality is that lloking it in some distance and with a calendar in hand…I have a lot to do.

I still have works to assemble, some textile sculptures to make, choosing which painting fits and which doesn't. Decide the writings that will be on vinyl accompanying the pieces. Also I have decided that I'm going to show a little video! To accompany one of the installations. But recording and editing video is not my thing, I've never done it, since instagram reels doesn’t count right?. But luckily for this I can have a good photographer friend. She is so good and I’m happy and grateful that she helps me with this!

Also have to talk to the welder to specify how the supports for the pieces are going to be. Redo one of the ceramic pieces that was broken in the assembly! And well, among all this, being a mother and a partner, and myself! Hahaha, well there is work to be done. But stress comes in handy from time to time to give creativity some elasticity.

Y porqué es un caos? Pues bien, porque estoy preparando una exposición en solitario para el próiximo febrero en el Espai d’Arts de LLinars, Barcelona. Y la verdad que montar una exposición no es nada sencillo. Y más si lo haces totalmente sola. No es sólamente dar forma al discurso expositivo, es idear la composición ideal para poder explicar dicho discurso.

Y la verdad que cogiendo distancia y con calendario en mano…Tengo bastante por hacer.

Me faltan obras por ensamblar, algunas esculturas téxtiles por hacer, escoger qué obra pictórica cabe y cuál no. Decidir los escritos que estarán en vinilo acompañando las piezas. Además al final voy a hacer un pequéño video! Para acompañar parte de una instalación. Pero esto de hacer y editar video no es lo mío, no lo he hecho nunca, ya que los reels de instagram no cuentan verdad? Pero bueno por suerte para ello puede contar con una buena amiga fotógrafa. Es genial en su trabajo y le estoy super agradecidad que me pueda echar un cable con esto.

Además también tengo que hablar con el soldador para concretar cómo van a ser los soportes para las piezas. Rehacer una de las piezas de cerámica que se rompió en el montaje! Y bueno entre todo ello ser madre y pareja, y yo misma! Jajjaj, bueno que si que hay trabajo por hacer. Pero el estrés viene bien de vez en cuando para dar elasticidad a la creatividad.
