Being a mother without my own mother · Ser madre sin mi madre

Soft sculptures. Wire, wool, stones collected by my kids in our walkings in the woods, fabric dyed with avocado stones and turmeric. The color on those pieces are slowly fading away in purpose. The yellow is going white and the rosé is slowly going brownish.

They are part of growing an isntallation for my upcomming solo show about my femenine lineage. Here the pieces called “being mother without my mother”.

· Escultras blandas. Cable, lana, piedras recogidas por mis hijos en nuestros paseos por el bosque, telas teñidas con aguacte y cúrcuma. El color en estas piezas se va destiñiendo lentamente con el paso del tiempo. Es un hecho a propóstio. El amarillo se va quedando blanco, y el rosado se va convirtiendo en un marrón.

Estas piezas son parte una instalación para mi próxima exposición individual sobre mi linaje femenino. Estas dos piezas se llaman “ser madre sin mi madre”.
